Palomino
Beautiful beach at 1,5 hours from Finca Carpe Diem

Colombia has many beautiful beaches, from the black-colored ones of the Choco region to the pristine white sandy beaches of Tayrona national park.

Palomino is one of these amazing beachs. Even though it is not as beautiful as Tayrona national park, Tayrona has become a crowded tourist attraction.

We recommend that you stay in Palomino at least a night or two. Although it is rapidly changing – with a recent boom of hostels – Palomino still has some of its old glory. You can watch fishermen throwing their nets out and if you are willing to walk for a few hundred meters out of the tourist scene you will be completely alone.

Palomino has a very laid back environment and is a favourite place for us when we have a few days off.

It takes a litte less than two hours from Carpe Diem to arrive in Palomino. There are lots of hostels, bars and restaurants, such as Finca Escondida.
