Jogging Pozo del Amor, Paso del Mango
Every Sunday we gather near the front of Finca Carpe Diem in our running gear. Sunday is our jogging day to Pozo del Amor. After we’ve all finished prepping, we start jogging right from the entrance. The beginning leg of the jog is almost like running for the first time. You can’t just run forward in a straight line and doze off into a rythm. You need to be situationally aware and always calculating the next step since the road is uneven and rocky.

On the way to Pozo del Amor, Paso del Mango
After summiting the first hill and finally getting acustomed to the road, you need to change gears once more as the descent is just as rocky and uneven. After jogging for 5 minutes, you’ll reach a yellow gate on your right. Go through the yellow gate and pass over the bridge. This is the Swimming spot of Paso del Mango.

The way to Pozo del Amor through Paso del Mango is dense with beautiful trees, flowers and sometimes wildlife. Jogging on from the bridge, you will pass many houses and farms. This route is a popular spot for cyclists since it’s challenging and diverse. After about 10 minutes jogging uphill you will reach the popular Pozo del Amor. Here you will find an area rich in water, smooth rock, and sun rays. Jump right into the pozo after the tough run from either of the 1 metre or 4 metre high rocks. Or if you’d rather slowly wade in, you can do that too.
Jogging back from Pozo del Amor through Paso del Mango
After half an hour of relaxing and enjoying the beautiful pool, we dress back into our running gear and head back. It is considerably easier since the uphill to Pozo del Amor is downhill back to Finca Carpe Diem. After returning we sometimes even jump into the Natural Jacuzzi and cool off for a few minutes before coming back into Finca Carpe Diem.
