Bee keeping

Bee keeping
for bee-ginners

Carpe Diem has some 10 beehives. So this is the perfect place to learn basic skills on bee keeping and honey harvesting.

You can enjoy a guided tour with Kobe or Jordi (only Spanish) in which we explain the most important things you need to know about bee keeping. We wear bee suits, go into the forest, show the hives, open them, and explore their life and different systems. This is a very practical guidance, so you will probably never forget it!

Bee keeping is a fascinating activity, but requires patience and good a physical condition. There is always a risk to be stung, so this tour is not a good idea for people with allergies. However, if you keep some basic rules in mind, most people should be able to fully enjoy this activity.

The guiding can be done with two guests at once. You can also try our honey in the morning which is included in some of our breakfasts.
