Paso del mango contains many hidden gems and unknown secrets. Three of those are the unnamed and untamed hidden waterfalls. At roughly 45 minutes of hiking up a dirt path from Finca Carpe Diem, you arrive at the known waterfall of Cascada de Silvestre. There you can enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings as well as swim in crisp and cool water.
From the Cascada de Silvestre, it’s another 30 minutes of hiking up though the river where you will arrive at the first of the three hidden waterfalls of Paso del Mango. Majestically cascading down through three tiers, it’s beautiful to look at, swim in and climb up (which is what you’ll have to do to get to the second of the three waterfalls).

After carefully climbing slippery rocks and the steep incline, you will arrive at the top of the first waterfall. From there you walk upstream and/or swing from side to side on the jungle vines (make sure to test them with your body weight before proceeding) until you arrive at the second waterfall. Standing at around 5 metres, it feeds a pool of water large and deep enough for swimming and playing in. and the area itself is wide enough to relax and take in the raw nature.
After finishing with the second waterfall, climb it from the left side and continue following the river. It will start to get fairly steep and a bit dangerous at this point so we recommend only experienced climbers and hikers to continue on. Once you have finished climbing the rocks after the second waterfall you will have finally arrived at the pool of the third and final hidden waterfall of Paso del Mango.

Taking attributes from both the first and second, this waterfall is tall, wide and feeds a pool great for wading in. Whether you spend an hour or even more here is entirely up to you but it is a place of tranquility and relaxation.
After you have finished, it’s just as dangerous descending as it is ascending so be careful, watch your step and stay safe. In total the hike will last you more or less 3 hours so make sure to bring water and light snacks. Also, you will be walking up to your waist at times so swimming trunks and light non waterproof trainers are a must.
